Description

XP Pro SP3 .net 3.5

Eraser V6 Beta 3

When I right click a file and choose erase the file gets added to the schedule and a pop up windows says it has been added to the scheduler.

There is no progress bar.

Then the file disappears.

On inspection the schedule reports the file was wiped.

V5 used to show a progress bar, wipe the file and that was it. I am unsure why V6 added this as a schedule.

It's by design.

I took the bold leap of redesigning the user workflow. The old "modal" flow where everything has to wait for the erase to complete before Explorer works again seems dated to me. Having a unified task list allows easy management of your erase tasks. The Scheduler always works in the background for this reason.

It's better than executing multiple erases at once which will slow down the process of every single erase and simultaneously prevents Explorer from blocking while the erase takes place.
